A little more about Darren...
What do you do at TSG Creative?
I spend most of my time listening, to either clients or the development team! I think the blend of people and skills within TSG Creative is a un-beatable mix.
We have imaginative graphic designers, excellent developers and a creative marketing team. But I think the key ingredient is that we “keep it real” ,
we create websites to your budget, we deliver on-time, we offer creative advice and most importantly our websites work and generate you income.
What websites do you visit the most?
From November through to April, I check out www.snow-forecast.com almost daily, it’s the the most accurate snow forecast websites for skiers,
I also spend a lot of time on www.linkedin.com and www.facebook.com as well as twitter.
What do you like to do out of the office?
For me, this is an easy question! If it involves a mountain either in summer or winter it’s usually got a tick against it. So, skiing comes in as a massive favourite,
followed by downhill mountain biking and climbing. I think my boys or at least my oldest two (6 & 5 at the time of writing) have inherited this love as they can already
ski anything a mountain can throw at them which when they stand only waist height is a massive buzz for Daddy! I also enjoy flying, having held my PPL for around 6 years
which includes aerobatics. Most of my favourite sports seem to produce adrenalin.
What favourite things could you not live without?
My wife and four young boys, however to make the most of my time with them I would also need my ski’s, ropes, mountain bikes and some sort of Salomon footwear!
Favourite band/album?
My musical tastes are very random and I can rarely name a band even though I may like the song, you do not want me on your team in a pub quiz. Favourite all-time band / song has to be Snow Patrol and Chasing Cars.
From past or present who has provided you with inspiration?
I cannot really say I have been provided with inspiration by anyone famous, past or present. Most of my inspiration (and I get lots) tends to be from either peer groups or good friends that operate businesses locally
and that I meet with regularly. I won’t mention any names as you’ll probably read this and demand I buy the wine next time we meet.
What’s your biggest secret your colleagues don’t know?
I love sherry! I keep it quiet as its seen as an elderly ladies drink and I’m often ridiculed, but a good sherry is stunning.
